Meet the Board: Jason Ciment, Treasurer

Tell us a little about yourself:

Hello! My name is Jason Ciment and I’m excited to be a part of the board.  I have been working in the online arena for over 2 decades since leaving the world of being a CPA and an attorney. I started by running an ecommerce company selling magazine subscriptions to consumers, businesses and schools. Then launched a software platform to run ecommerce stores. Now I mostly co-manage a digital marketing agency (www.GetVisible.com) where we design and promote websites and social media properties. We offer the expected services of website design, WordPress development, SEO, PPC, Facebook ads, social media marketing and advertising and reputation management. Outside of work I like to read historical thrillers and binge watch whatever catches my mood – especially Korean war and martial arts movies.

What is your position on the board?

I am the Treasurer. The purpose of this role is to look over the finances and work with the team to monetize opportunities and keep the organization in the black.  This year, I would like to focus on increasing positive financial outcomes from events. Last year we took on cost reductions and that’s all completed.

Why did you join AMA Los Angeles?

I joined AMA Los Angeles to network and grow my referral opportunities.  I love meeting people from different industries and also enjoy learning from the speakers at each event I can attend.

If there is one thing that you could recommend to new/potential members of AMA Los Angeles, what would you say to check out?

I would recommend joining our mailing list and coming to at least 2 events to see why our organization is such a happy place to network and learn.
