Community Team

This team is responsible for organizing events in the local Los Angeles area that foster community, support causes for good, and bring the chapter’s membership body together.

Board Positions on the Marketing Team:
VP of Community Relations, (OPEN)

VP of Community Relations

The VP of Community Relations is responsible for developing programs that foster community among marketers in the Los Angeles area. The VP of Community Relations shall program at least 1 program per Quarter that encourages interpersonal connection while servicing for a good cause. Programs could include, but are not limited to: Fundraising events for a cause and volunteering for those in need.

Required

  • Time commitment: 5 – 8 hours per week
  • Report to: President

Responsibilities

  • Develop, manage, and execute programs that foster community among marketers in the Los Angeles area
  • Outreach and correspondence with local businesses, organizations, venues, and/or vendors to fulfill program logistics.
  • Work cross-functionally with the sponsorship and marketing teams to garner funding and deploy promotional communications
  • Identify and prepare a volunteer to fill this role the following year.
  • Ensure adequate staffing and management of your team via recruitment, retention, and team engagement
  • Contribute any other reasonable responsibility, under the direction of the President and within the job’s time commitment.

  • Ability to interface successfully with college students and seasoned professionals

Community Relations Manager

The Community Relations Manager is responsible for supporting the VP of Community Relations in the logistics of executing community programs. Such logistics include outreach, correspondence, and coordination between internal and external players.

  • Time commitment: 1 – 3 hours per week
  • Report to: VP of Community Relations
