Marketing Team

This team is responsible for promoting all events, membership campaigns, content and other strategic initiatives through a number of different digital marketing platforms such as social media and email.

Email Marketing Team

Email Marketing Manager

The Email Marketing Manager’s main duties include running email marketing campaigns end-to-end, managing email databases and creating newsletters.

Requirements

  • Time commitment: 3 – 5 hours per week
  • Report to: VP of Email Marketing

Responsibilities

  • Copywriting for a variety of Email Marketing Campaigns, including, but not limited to: general newsletters, membership campaigns, and executive audience emails
  • Managing the organization’s email campaigns and communicating the organizations brand through email marketing.
  • Analysis of current email marketing campaigns and making recommendations for improvement.
  • Carrying out segmentation of the membership database and implementing remarketing strategies.
  • Tracking and reporting on email campaigns in order to guide improvements.
  • Ensuring all email campaigns comply with current email best practice in the industry.
  • Collaborate, in-tandem, with the VP of Email Marketing
  • Contribute any other reasonable responsibility, under the direction of the VP of Email Marketing and within the job’s time commitment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • BA/BS or equivalent working experience
  • Excellent written communication and copywriting skills.
  • Previous experience with Mailchimp
  • Graphic design skills preferred

Social Media Team

Facebook Coordinator

Requirements

  • Time commitment: 1 – 3 hours per week
  • Report to: VP of Social Media

Responsibilities

  • Copywriting for posts on the AMA Los Angeles Facebook Account and Sponsored posts
  • Post content developed by AMA Los Angeles copywriters and graphic designers, under the direction of the VP of Social Media
  • Appropriately respond to messages by Facebook group members and the general Facebook public
  • Engage with Facebook group members and direct inquiries to the appropriate AMA Los Angeles team member(s)
  • When able, virtually engage AMA Los Angeles audience using Facebook Live Feed at AMA Los Angeles events
  • Contribute any other reasonable responsibility, under the direction of the VP of Social Media and within the job’s time commitment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • BA/BS or equivalent working experience
  • Excellent written communication and copywriting skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Facebook advertising and industry best practices

Instagram Coordinator

Requirements

  • Time commitment: 1 – 3 hours per week
  • Report to: VP of Social Media

  • Post content developed by AMA Los Angeles copywriters and graphic designers, under the direction of the VP of Social Media

  • Engage with Instagram page followers and direct inquiries to the appropriate AMA Los Angeles team member(s)

  • Engage with LinkedIn group and business page followers and direct inquiries to the appropriate AMA Los Angeles team member(s)

Twitter Coordinator

  • Engage with Twitter followers and direct inquiries to the appropriate AMA Los Angeles team member(s)

Content Creation Committee

Creative Director

Requirements

  • Time commitment: 5 – 8 hours per week
  • Report to: President

Responsibilities

  • Provide direction to graphic designers and copywriters as it relates to the overall marketing strategy
  • Create brand guidelines and enforce brand guidelines across AMA Los Angeles platforms, including, but not limited to: Email Marketing, Website, Facebook, Instagram, Linkedin, Twitter, and Eventbrite
  • Develop and lead in graphic design for key event promotions
  • Identify and prepare a volunteer to fill this role the following year.
  • Ensure adequate staffing and management of your team via recruitment, retention, and team engagement
  • Contribute any other reasonable responsibility, under the direction of the President and within the job’s time commitment.

Senior Copywriter

Requirements

  • Time commitment: 3 – 5 hours per week
  • Report to: VP of Creative Strategy

Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead in copywriting for key event promotions and AMA Los Angeles content
  • Advise, as necessary, Jr. Copywriters in the development of copy for functions such as event promotions, marketing collateral, and general content pieces
  • Contribute any other reasonable responsibility, under the direction of the VP of Creative Strategy and within the job’s time commitment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • BA/BS or equivalent working experience
  • Copywriting background from an ad agency, corporate, or equivalent setting
  • Demonstrated knowledge of advertising and industry best practices
