This team is responsible for acquiring, onboarding and providing a valuable experience for members with the mission of our association always in mind.

Director of Membership Campaigns

The Director of Membership Campaigns is responsible for executing on the VP of Membership’s strategy and working across teams to create and deploy campaigns. This person must be familiar with AMA membership procedures, membership material, and membership reports on the Chapter Reports Portal. Additionally, he/she is expected to perform all the duties specified by the Constitution and Bylaws or those approved by the Board of Directors.

Required

  • Time commitment: 5 – 8 hours per week
  • Report To: VP of Memberships

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with VP of Membership and any / all team members who report to you
  • Create and deploy membership campaigns, demonstrating AMA Los Angeles membership value, member retention, member acquisition, and any other campaigns created for the benefit of the chapter and/or under the direction of the VP of Membership
  • Create and deploy membership campaigns for each tier of membership (i.e. student, young professional, professional, group/corporate, etc.)
  • Work cross functionally with the VPs of the Marketing Team to appropriately deploy campaigns
  • Identify and prepare a volunteer to fill this role the following year.
  • Responsibilities common to all Officers and Directors.
  • Contribute any other reasonable responsibility, under the direction of the VP of Membership and within the job’s time commitment.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Minimum of five (5) years experience in program management, direct marketing or business development.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Successful track record of building and leading a team.
  • Ability to coordinate the diverse efforts of the organization towards membership growth. 

Director of Membership Experience

The Director of Membership Experience is responsible for executing on the VP of Membership’s strategy and working across teams to create and deploy initiatives that support the positive experience of AMA Los Angeles Members.This person must be familiar with AMA membership procedures, membership material, and membership reports on the Chapter Reports Portal. Additionally, he/she is expected to perform all the duties specified by the Constitution and Bylaws or those approved by the Board of Directors.

Required

  • Time commitment: 5 – 8 hours per week
  • Report to VP of Membership

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with VP of Membership and any / all team members who report to you
  • Create and deploy initiatives that support the positive experience of AMA Los Angeles members. Initiatives include, but are not limited to:
    • Onboarding new members ;
    • Developing surveys in collaboration with the Director of Data & Insights (if position is vacant, then without the Director of Data & Insights) ;
    • Collecting and sharing useful AMA resources for members ; and
    • Serving as the Go-To person for all outside inquiries regarding all AMA Los Angeles membership tiers (i.e. student, young professional, professional, group/corporate, etc.)
  • Work cross functionally with the VPs of the Marketing Team to appropriately deploy campaigns
