Partnerships Team

This team is responsible for garnering partnerships and sponsorships for all events and the organization as a whole, creating a value exchange between outside companies/orgs and AMA Los Angeles, ultimately benefiting the chapter’s events and overall experience.

VP of Partnerships, (OPEN)

VP of Partnerships

The VP of Partnerships is responsible for identifying Chapter needs that may be supported by corporate, nonprofits, and other organizational partnerships, and coordinates programs to involve the business community in Chapter affairs. This individual is in charge of procuring both fiscal and in-kind sponsorships for the Chapter as well as performing all the duties specified by the Constitution and Bylaws or those approved by the Board of Directors.

Required

  • Time commitment: 5 – 8 hours per week
  • Report to: Head of Partnerships

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support all partnership development activities of the organization.
  • Scout, outreach, communication, and craft deals with chapter’s partners.
  • Close sponsorship deals with chapter partners
  • Work cross-functionally with the Head of Marketing and Head of Programming to ensure sponsorship deals are in line with goals, bandwidth, and resources of the team
  • Create One Sheets, Presentations, and Marketing Collateral within scope to accomplish goals. May be reasonably delegated to other team members within the Partnership Team
  • Identify and prepare a volunteer to fill this role the following year
  • Ensure adequate staffing and management of your team via recruitment, retention, and team engagement
  • Responsibilities common to all Officers and Directors.
  • Contribute any other reasonable responsibility, under the direction of the President and within the job’s time commitment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Sales and marketing background.
  • Successful track record of building and leading a team.
  • Ability to coordinate the diverse efforts of the organization for successful development. 

Director of Partnerships
